About Me....

Hey there!
I'm Nicoline... I live in a lovely place called Dun Laoghaire, by the sea in Dublin.
I grew up in a house with a mum who sewed pretty much everything. She made our clothes, she made her clothes, she made beautiful patchwork quilts and always encouraged me to sew. Not that I did much! I made a few things but I was pretty impatient and she mostly ended up finishing things for me!

But it seems that some of her teachings somehow seeped into my brain and last year I dusted off my sewing machine and started nurturing a little obsession!

It has something to do with the parallel universe that is the sewing blogdom. There is such an inspiring bunch of sewers out there, that I have been to be compelled to start my own blog charting my progress from complete make-it-up-as-you-go-along novice, to... we'll see...! As soon as I discovered the world of sewing bloggers I realised what an amazing online community of sewers there is and it's nice to be part of it! It's so encouraging and has definitely spurred me on to finish more things (instead of getting my Mum to finish them).

Thanks a million for visiting my blog!

  1. I was looking on the internet for pictures of people who had used Chinello Bally's freehand method and came across your blog. Why have you stopped blogging? I found it very interesting and you get a very good fit with your garments, I'd like to know more about how you do it

I'd love to hear from you - don't be shy!
